I do not use formalin for a long time. The best way to disinfect the growth chambers and other rooms is steam. If there is no possibility to steal, chlorine dioxide can be used. Usually it is used for disinfection of equipment and tools. If wood is used on the mushroom farm, it is disinfected Ca(OH)2.
