Hello there, I made mushroom compost using the long composting method. I used wet chicken manure, fresh horse manure, rice straw presoaked for two days and added POP powder(gypsum) on Day 13. Everything was going well. By the last two turnings, the compost had cooled down considerably but it was very moist. There was no smell of ammonia. After composting, I packed in nylon and pasteurized for 6 hours. But it started to smell bad and give off a strong smell of ammonia and wasgreasy with whitish growth.
Please what could the problem be?
