With the diversity of information on compost production, one can distinguish several main stages in its production process. These are 3 stages in the 1st phase and the 2nd phase, compost pasteurization.

The 1st stage of the 1st phase is in removal of easily-accessible nutrition – carbohydrates. It is a necessary condition for getting compost which has nutrition only for button mushrooms.

How long can mushrooms be kept fresh?

Almost 14 days

In 2 weeks after harvesting these button mushrooms were sold at quite an acceptable price. The mushrooms were kept in a regular cooling chamber without applying any special methods. It became possible due to the quality of mushrooms.

The variant, which is based not on the search of some magical tools for killing unwelcome guests on the shelves, but the variant resulting from an elaborate study of some life details of these diseases and pests.

Mushroom Days exhibition in Holland 29th – 31st of May 2013. Visitor’s opinion
At the end of may 2013 me and my partner visited Mushroom Days exhibition in Holland. My last time at this exhibition was in the late 90-s of the past century. And I was interested in what had changed for the past time in holding Mushroom Days.

Theater starts from a coatrack, and the modesty of the exhibition starts from its main entrance.
The first thing to catch my eye was quite noticeable “depletion” of the representation of the mushroom production theme in whole, also this concerns the related fields.

The Urals – compost and mushrooms

In May of 2012 representatives of some well-known local organization from Chelyabinsk invited me to meet and discuss compost production and mushrooms cultivation in industrial scale. The result of the interesting and fruitful conversation was the Program of mushroom production development in the Ural Federal District; the first stage was construction of a button mushroom complex with the full cycle for 600 tons of mushrooms a year, not far from Chelyabinsk. The main condition of the implementation of the Program is to base upon the most advanced technologies of compost production and mushroom cultivation.

Compost is made from straw and dry chicken manure. Total time of Phase I was 17 days.Presoaking straw 3 days. 6 turning in Phase I.
